St. Mary's Soccer is once again pleased to offer the Target United Cup on Saturday, November 10th and Claire's Cup on Friday, November 9th at Chancellor's Run Regional Park. This 4v4 small sided tournament is a great way to close out the Fall season with your recreational, recplus, or travel teams.
In conjunction with Target United Cup, the Claire's Cup portion of the weekend is a charity event which raises funds for a St. Mary's County child facing a serious medical challenge.
This year Myla Ashton is the honoree for Claire’s Cup and we welcome all adults with lots of soccer talent or zero soccer talent to enter a team to support Myla and her family as she battles acute lymphoblastic luekemia (ALL).
Myla was recently diagnosed and she and her family face a long long road to remission. Treatment requires a significant time away from home, school, family and friends which normally lasts two to three years in total. We look forward to the communitiy coming together to support Myla in her battle! If you are unable to particpate in playing Claire's Cup we always need volunteers and St. Mary's Soccer will also accept donations on behalf of the family. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions concerning Claire's Cup.
