Registration is open!
The objective of TCF is to provide multiple levels of play (Recreational, RecPlus and Travel) in the southern Maryland region (Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary's) that provide a competitive, yet fun environment that is NOT results based. To achieve this goal, every effort is made to follow these guidelines:
Recreational Division (U8-U18 High School)
Recreational futsal is designed to allow players to keep touching the ball at a skill-appropriate level, Teams are generally co-ed unless registration numbers provide enough teams for an all-girls division. St. Mary’s Soccer and Waldorf Soccer Club associated recreational futsal teams will utilize the TCF site to register. All Recreational players in the U18 division must be current High School Students.
Provided registration numbers support it, U8-U14 recreational teams will only play at their home location. If numbers do not support home-only games, coaches will be contacted to see there is interest to travel to other sites.
The U18/High School recreational teams will travel to other sites in addition to home games. The oldest year of birth acceptable for the High school division is 2001 and the player MUST be a current high school student.
Calvert Soccer Association’s recreational division is handled directly on the CSA website at the following link: CSA RECREATIONAL FUTSAL
RecPlus Division (U8-U12)
RecPlus is a more competitive version of recreational soccer for teams who want a little more challenge to their matches. Teams are generally boys or girls, however - if registration doesn't support splitting genders - they may have to be mixed appropriately. Each club involved with TCF will work on divisional placement. RecPlus teams will play ½ of their games at home and away locations if at all possible. Facility availability and registration numbers may affect the ability to keep games split to 50/50 home/away.
Travel Division (U9-U19)
Travel teams are split into boys and girls divisions and generally two-year divisions (U10, U12, U14, U16, U19). If registration supports single age groups, we may bracket them accordingly. We do not encourage girls to play in the boys divisions, however, we do not prohibit it either. The U19 age division caps with the 2001 birth year. No Exceptions. Once schedules are run - we WILL NOT be able to remove any teams from divisions to which they are assigned. Travel teams will play ½ of their games at home and away locations if at all possible. Facility availability and registration numbers may affect the ability to keep games split to 50/50 home/away.
Age groups may be combined depending on registration numbers.
Registration costs are as follows and can be made via credit card:
U8 through U14 teams - $595
U15 and older teams - $650
NOTE: Any players that were not registered and/or carded in the fall season through MSYSA with SMS, CSA or WSC will need to pay an additional $6.50. Each club will notify their teams if additional payment is due.
